Glutamine is an important amino acid for the adaptation of muscle tissue. It stores organic nitrogen, promotes the creation of a positive nitrogen balance. It distributes amino groups for transamination and ultimately for the synthesis of muscle proteins. Glutamine accounts for over 60% of free amino acid resources in muscle cells and over 20% of all amino acids found in the body. Micronized L-glutamine is a form that is more easily absorbed and much more active than traditional glutamine and glutamine peptide.
Micronized glutamine increases strength and lean muscle mass. It works strongly anti-catabolic - inhibits the activity of enzymes that destroy muscle proteins. It is transformed into glutathione and increases the level of this substance by up to 40%; glutathione - as an antioxidant - stabilizes cell membrane membranes and inhibits the release of catabolic enzymes, while - as an amino acid transporter in the gamma glutamyl cycle - it facilitates protein synthesis and promotes the formation of a positive nitrogen balance.
