N Gauge 1:148 scale 3D printed Security style Fencing
New for 2021, we are now using a much more stable filament compared to what was used before. The fencing is now printed with a 0.2mm nozzle and a much finer scale is achievable, the product is no longer brittle it is stronger and more flexible, different colours available at no extra cost.
Available in the following options,
1. 6 lengths of fencing with 2 small gates and 1 large gate
2. 7 lengths of fencing ONLY (no gates)
3. 3 sets of gates ONLY (6 small gates, 3 large gates)
Product dimensions,
Each length of fence is 115mm long
Once set into place they are around 15mm tall (7.3ft or 2.2m real world)
The posts are around 0.7 - 0.8mm wide
Printing this fencing can be quite unreliable, there are often misprinted sections of this fence, if this is the case i will include in your package some not very good lengths as extras for practising bending it or using if you can? don't worry you will always get a full set of well printed parts in your order.
Installation of the fencing is fairly simple, for best results try to do the following, warning it can be a bit fiddly.
Each length of fence has 4 longer posts, the longer posts are spaced out by 38mm, mark out on your layout or diorama where the fencing will be going, then mark every 38mm, a very small 0.8mm drill bit is required, drill the holes at the 38mm intervals, I would recommend only doing 7 holes at a time just in case. Put the first length in the first 4 holes, then cut the very end post off as straight and as close up against the post as possible, put the second length in the other 3 holes, then a dab of your chosen glue on the exposed horizontal beams and stick them to the post on the first length, repeat as necessary, hopefully this makes sense!
A much easier way would be to snip off the longer posts and just glue it all into place.
This fencing can be gently warmed and bent or shaped. Super glue works well or plastic cement, can be painted with enamel or acrylic paints, personally I spray these with a matt lacquer to dull the shiny edge down a bit.
Returns are accepted no problem, as long as its all unused and in the original condition, free samples are available, to keep costs as low as possible they will come in plain and simple packaging, posted 2nd class, made to order, dispatched within 2 days.
