Steiff Coachman Bear Wertheim Berlin "Eisner Gustav" Teddy Bear - made of curly blonde Mohair. 

Condition: New - Includes Steiff presentation box, Steiff hang tag certificate of authenticity.

Produced in 1996, the Steiff Coachman Bear, EAN 655241, was a special edition Teddy Bear made exclusively for the German Wertheim department store in Berlin Germany. “Iron Gustav” was a nickname of Gustav Hartmann, a legendary Berlin figure who was a coach driver many decades ago. Coachman Bear "Iron Gustav" is a white tag, gold plated button-in-ear Teddy Bear created in a limited edition of 1500. Iron Gustav Bear is made of honey blonde curly mohair and stands 14 inches (36 cm.) tall.  The Coachman "Iron Gustav" Bear is dressed in a black felt overcoat, black felt trousers and white felt top hat. A lucky horseshoe hangs from his neck. The bear has a squeaker and is 5-way jointed. The Coachman "Iron Gustav" Bear is new and in pristine mint condition.
