Since he was a boy Armando shows great interest for mechanics and engines and, to improve his knowledge, he began his career first in metalworking companies in Bologna and, later, in Milan. In the capital of Milan he worked at the Caproni factories, a company at the time in the vanguard in the aeronautical sector and on his return to Bologna he found employment in the factories of the Maserati brothers, manufacturers of racing cars. His strong and enterprising character led him to start his own business as an artisan repairer of motorcycles and bicycles, as well as a builder of the latter. 

In 1946 the eldest son Hugh Malossi joins the company assuming the general direction in 1957. It will be Ugo Malossi himself who will implement the turning point that will completely change the face of the company from simple repairs to the construction of special motorcycle parts. In 1958 Ugo Malossi founded the Malossi company starting the production of the first of the 76 product lines that today the company can boast, namely the accessories for carburettors: the air filters and the oversized intake manifolds suitable for upgrading the engines.

In 1969 it was the turn of the second child Sandro Malossi which takes the marketing direction of the company and supervises all sporting events. In 1986 Andrea and Alessandra Malossi, sons of Ugo and grandsons of the founder, joined the Board of Directors with positions of responsibility: Andrew assumes the technical direction and Alexandra there sales management.
