This is an antique - vintage box made mostly out of fine hand woven wicker.

 It has a wooden base and a wooden lid which has a lobster or crayfish figurine hand carved onto it.

 Very pretty and very fine skilled work. Tight weave as well. really very good.

This is not a modern tourist souvenir basket. This has been made ext. well. The carving is really good too. The base has a carved wood bottom too with 4 feet. 


 No maker's marks etc. from what I can see.

In collectable condition with normal signs of age and use wear. No major damage from what I can see but there are a few small pieces of wicker that have been pulled slightly out of place.

It measures approx. 7 inches x 5 inches x 4 and 1/4 inches in total.

Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter.
