The surface of the salver is engraved with floral scroll patterns and the raised edge is a shell and ball design
The salver was made by Martin Hall and co based in Sheffield and subsequently hallmarked in London 1888

Full English Hallmarks very clear and well struck 
A latin inscription has been engraved in the centre of the salver
