This is a lovely 1909 antique booklet of Four American Indian Songs, Op. 45, by Charles Wakefield Cadman. Cassandra wrote a lot of songs popular around the turn of last century. These songs are for high voice. The songs were founded upon tribal melodies. From the Land of the Sky-blue Water, The White Dawn is Stealing, Far Off I Hear a Lover’s Flute, and The Moon Drops Low. Each poem with its basic melody is given first, and then Cadman’s arrangement is given. All four songs are in a portfolio with string in the binding. It’s a lively little booklet. It appears to be unused. There is no writing in it. Condition is "Very Good" except for the spine being a bit worn with age. FREE shipping in the US.
