Beginning in 1972, the USPS has issued a "Souvenir Page" of each of its stamp issues. A Souvenir Page is an 8 inch X 10.5 inch sheet, on color paper, that describes the stamp issue and also features the stamp itself and its First Day of Issue cancellation. Collectors find these souvenir pages highly desirable, and even suitable for framing.

This souvenir page bears the souvenir sheet that was issued in 1996 to honor cycling, a popular spectator sport around the world and one of the most popular hobbies in the US. The sheet (Scott 3119) has 2 50-cent stamps on it and carries the First Day of Issue cancellation from New York on November 1, 1996. This would be a wonderful gift to the cyclist, or a great addition to any FDC collection!
