Pair of Nuart Vintage Dog on Armchair Bookends. They are made of cast metal, and finished in
bronze/copper tones. These are rare and
made for an Art Deco décor. The bookends
are almost antique, as they were made in the 1930’s by Nuart of New York
City. This manufacturing stamp is on the
back of both (see photographs). They are
in excellent condition, no cracks or loose parts, original felt bottom still in
place. There is a little paint loss on
the cushion and along the bottom edge of one of the armchairs. The dogs look like terriers. They are 3 3/8th inches by 2 ¾
inches at the base and 5 inches tall to the dog’s ear.
