1828-A Paris Mint Graded AU58 by NGC

This is a very special and very rare-in-this-grade 20 Francs gold coin from France. It is from the era known as France's Second Kingdom (1815-1847), when the monarchy returned for a time. The obverse features Charles X. The reverse has the crowned arms dividing the denomination within a wreath, with the date and mintmark A below, denoting the Paris Mint. This coin has been certified authentic by NGC and is graded AU58 or Almost Uncirculated 58. As of June 2021, NGC's records show that only 10 of these 1828-A 20-franc Charles X coins has been certified with a higher grade than this, and only 5 coins had received this grade.
