Softcover in flexible, orange-red vinyl covers, 4.5 X 6.5 inches, containing:

-- primary text of 70 pages, with several diagram

-- a large fold-out, string-bound booklet titled, "Description of New Engineer's Brake Valve (Positive Discharge, with Feed  Valve and Independent Reservoir," 7 pages long

-- five large fold-out plates with various diagrams/illustrations

The latter two are tucked into a pouch at the back of the book.

Good condition.  The primary book and the large booklet are unmarked and securely bound.  The gilt on the front cover is mostly effaced.  There are small tears between a couple of folds in most of the plates.  Plate C-5 has "Freight" written in one corner and it has extra creases.  But the plates are complete and intact.
