Tephrocactus syringacanthus is a very easy to grow, cold tolerant opuntiod-type cactus. It is cold hardy down to at least 17F, and probably lower.

These have incredible spines that reach 5" to 6" in length on a mature plant!

You will receive one un-rooted segment, 3" to 4" in length.

These are very easy to root, simply leave them out of the soil for 6 to 8 weeks in a semi-shaded area (bottom side down, standing up) and then plant in a fast draining cactus mix. It helps to trim off some of the spines on the bottom half of the segment so it is easier to plant.

The bottom will be marked with a white mark.

You will receive ONE large single segment. A mature plant is shown for reference, but you will receive ONE segment, not the entire plant.
