Translation: His Majesty King Chulalongkorn Phra Chula Chom Klao Chao Yu Hua.
Reverse: National arms, flags flanking.
Lettering: กรุงสยาม รัชกาลที่ ๕ บาทหนึ่ง
Translation: Bangkok, King Rama V one-baht.

During the early year of production, this silver Baht coin faced the problem of counterfeiting, so the mint edited a small point of inscription at 4 o'clock on the reverse. The "short tailed ๕" coins are minted only in early years so they are more uncommon than the "long tailed ๕".
The mint started adding the date to track the number of coins in circulation in R.S.120. (1900) Refer to pic 11)
There are many minor varieties within the inscriptions.
