You are looking at a CD with 210 images of Fire Apparatus from ANTIQUE FIRE APPARATUS photographed in the western U.S. and Canada. These are high resolution images from the original negatives. This compilation is made for two uses. First, for the fire buff who prefers having images on a compact, easily stored media that can be viewed on any CD device. Second, for the enthusiast who wants to have prints or enlargements without paying the high postage costs and expense of buying my prints. You can go to your Wal-Mart or other photo finisher and print what you like for a minimal cost. Right now, my local Walmart has 4 X 6 prints for about ten cents each, and 8 X 12's for less than $3.00. Included are photos shot from 1982 through early 2020. Rigs included are nearly all built before 1960.  These were all posed photos, nearly always with no people in the picture, other than an occasional driver behind the wheel. The rigs were positioned to obtain strong, even light and the best background available. All photos were shot with quality Canon or Nikon SLR equipment through a normal lens. A very few rigs were shot in a bright overcast, while the great majority were taken in bright sunlight. All photos were taken by me, Bill Hattersley. Each rig is identified by Dep't, rig #, year, make, bodybuilder and capacities.
