Characteristics
A part of the buttercup family, these beautifully sweet scented flowers blanket the ground in glistening gold. These flowers burst into life in the early season and will add vivid colour to your gardens with plenty of green foliage. Aconites are very easy to establish and go very well with Snowdrops as they both naturalise together, but also look splendid with Crocus.
It is important to remember to soak the corms over night in cold water, and planted the next day. Aconites are great for woodland planting, borders and tubs.
Instructions for planting
Plant the corms 3 inches deep and 2-3 inches apart in the soil
Soil requirements: well drained, moderately fertile, moist but well drained soil
Will tolerate clay, sandy, loamy, peat. Avoid planting in spots where the soil is dry during the summer months
Aconites flourish in full sun/partial shade
