19th Century Indian Dhal Shield / Buckler.

Diameter in cm and inches as per photos - approximately 38cm / 14.5 inches.

Some unevenness around the edge but nicely inlaid with vivid red inlay around the edge.

Only downside to this is that the original grip and knuckle pad is missing.

The screws which are visible on the back are firmly secured in place together with the original loops. There are a couple of tenant strings of fabric where the knuckle pad used to be.

A very nice decorative example.
