White Yarrow / Achillea Millefolium -
 Botanical characteristics.
White Yarrow is a perennial herbaceous plant with a thin, horizontally branched creeping rhizome. Stems erect, unbranched, 60-100 cm high, fibrous. The leaves are consecutive, up to 10 cm long, pinnately cut, fibrous. The flowers are collected in flower baskets, collected in apical thyroid inflorescences. The fruits are whitish, about 2 mm long oblong seeds, longitudinally flattened and without a kite.
The leafy flowering stems and the flower baskets (flower) /  Achilleae millefolii / are collected.

Chemical composition.
Yarrow contains mainly 0.25% essential oils during flowering.The White Yarrow / Achillea Millefolium is the most wanted, becouse species that contain up to 35% chamazulene in the oil.

Environmental requirements
Yarrow is a drought-resistant and cold-resistant plant. It grows in the plains, semi-mountainous and mountainous regions and can withstand temperatures down to -30 degrees.

It is not demanding to soil and air moisture, as well as to nutrients in the soil, but still prefers light and humus-rich soil. Does not tolerate too heavy and moist soils. Preferred soil reaction - pH 6.9-7.5. The plant lives longer on poor and calcareous soils.

Reproduction.
White Yarrow is propagated by direct sowing of seeds.
Direct sowing. The best time for it is the end of March - beginning of May or September-October of the previous year, the seeds should be covered with a thin layer of soil so that they can germinate.
It grows very easily from Yarrow seeds, and it also spreads by underground roots. It is used in the flower garden or in natural settings.
