About this piece:

Each urn is handcrafted by this American Artist. Each piece is unique. The one pictured is the one you will receive.

Dimensions: Outer dimensions: 6-3/4" tall, 6-1/8" wide, 6-1/8" long. The inside is 5-1/8" tall, 4-3/4" wide, 4-3/4" long or 115 cubic inches. If using this as an urn, it will hold ashes from an animal or human weighing up to about 110 lbs. The box weighs 2lbs. 0oz.

Wood: The top is a curly black walnut, the sides are hackberry with tremendous spalt figure lines, two strips of red/orange padauk and macassar ebony keys (those thin slots on the corners). The flowing spalt and sharp color contrast gives the box its artistic look.

Description: No.205 is a bottom loading urn. The bottom is a sheet of birch plywood that is inset into the frame of the box and attached with 4 wood screws. It is easy to take off yet stores ashes securely.

Process: Traditional joinery techniques are used to insure a strong and lasting construction. The wood is sanded to 600 grit and finished with multiple coats of non-yellowing polyurethane.  The piece is signed and dated on the back by the artist, Barry A. Belknap.

Shipping: Ships for calculated cost shown.
