L'apple Cactus è originario del Perù, la pianta è caratterizzata da un alto fusto cilindrico con portamento colonnare.Il fusto è verde o bluastro, a crescita rapida che raggiunge notevoli dimensioni, produce fiori bianchi e rosa che sbocciano di notte e frutti gustosi e tondeggianti che somigliano proprio a una mela.
Grazie al suo spiccato carattere decorativo e all'aspetto estremamente elegante, si presta ad abbellire gli spazi interni di una casa o un giardino. È utilizzata in particolare nei giardini rocciosi per realizzare delle composizioni insieme ad altre specie di piante succulente. Ma se amate le piante grasse e volete tenerla in casa, è possibile coltivarla e vederla fiorire anche in vaso.
Annaffiare regolarmente in primavera e in estate, attendendo che il terreno sia ben asciutto tra un'annaffiatura e l'altra; in autunno e in inverno diminuire le annaffiature. Questi cactus resitono senza problemi a periodi anche lunghi di siccità sopportando anche temperature rigide.

Thanks to its strong decorative character and extremely elegant appearance, it lends itself to beautifying the interior spaces of a house or a garden. It is used in particular in rock gardens to create compositions together with other species of succulent plants. But if you love succulents and want to keep it indoors, it is possible to grow it and see it bloom even in pots.
Water regularly in spring and summer, waiting for the soil to dry well between one watering and the next; in autumn and winter decrease watering. These cacti can withstand even long periods of drought without problems and endure even harsh temperatures.
