Archie Scott Brown – Lister Jaguar - stunning bronze

The Last Race – Spa , May 19th 1958

A tribute to one of the greatest racing drivers. Battling hard with Masten Gregory, driving the Ecurie Ecosse Lister Jaguar, they swapped the lead just inches apart. The competition was so fierce that Archie dented his car’s nose on the rear of the Ecosse on lap three.

With Archie leading on lap six, they arrived at the Seaman bend to find the track slick with rain. The right-hand front wheel of Archie’s Lister hit a road sign, snapping the track rod and causing a disastrous accident. This great driver died from his injuries the following day.
