BESCHREIBUNG
Originale, sehr gut erhaltene, dekorative und kolorierte Kupferstichkarte mit den Diözesen um Sarlat im südlichen Teil der Dordogne und dem Perigueux. Enthalten sind die Städte Sarlat, Bergerac, Molieres, Domme, Ville Franche, Monbazillac, Montignac und viele weitere.
Die prachtvolle und überaus große Titelkartusche mit Putti und Früchten. In der rechten Blatthälfte oben mit Meilenanzeigerkartusche. Die Karte entstand nach den Entwürfen von Johannes Tardo, einem Mathematiker und Astronom.
Text in Latein verso mit zwei großer Holzschnitt-Initiale und Holzschnitt-Vignette.

Blattgröße: 59,5 x 49,5 cm; Plattengröße: 50,5 x 38,5 cm.
ZUSTAND
In ausgezeichneter Erhaltung. Kräftiger Druck, dekoratives, detailreiches Kolorit im zeitgenössischen Stil. Sauberer Druck. Im unteren Rand nur minimal wenig braunfleckig.
Sehr festes Bütten mit Wasserzeichen.

Original and wellpreserved decorative map with the dioceses around Sarlat in the southern part of the Dordogne and Perigueux. Includes the cities of Sarlat, Bergerac, Molieres, Domme, Ville Franche, Monbazillac, Montignac and many more.
Large title cartouche with putti and fruits and scale of miles cartouche. Based on the design by the French mathematician and astronomer Jean Tardo.
Text in Latin verso with large woodcut initial and woodcut vignette.

CONDITION
In very good condition. Strong and very decorative print. Very nice colouring in manner of contemporary style.
In the lower left margin some brownstained. Strong handmade paper with watermark.
