Moose Camlock Chanter Stock

The Moose Camlock Blank Chanter Stock is designed to fit almost every chanter size. It fits easily over the chanter reed and simply turns to tighten over the hemp. The Moose Camlock allows the chanter to be stored safely in a tube without any unsightly protruding screws that can also damage the hemp joint. There is no requirement for a hole in the top as the off-set cam allows any excess moisture to escape.

RG Hardie Pipe Chanter Split Stock

The R.G. Hardie plastic pipe chanter split stock set allows the chanter to be removed without damaging the reed. This is an excellent product for beginners or young pipers who have a tendency to chip the corner off the reed when removing the chanter from the stock. McCallum Bagpipes pipe chanters are manufactured from Polypenco. These instruments are a quality product producing a true tone for the discerning ear. Each chanter carries the McCallum Bagpipes marking, your guarantee of workmanship to the highest standards.There is a thread on the reed seat of all chanters (except C4) which alleviates the problems of the reed coming loose, especially on the plastic chanter in dry conditions. This locks the reed in place until adjusted by the piper. it’s also a much more accurate way of setting the chanter reed pitch. You turn the reed clockwise to sink the reed and sharpen it, and the anti-clockwise to raise it and sharpen it. The standard pipe Chanter (C1, C2) is played by pipe bands worldwide, including many of the top grade 1 bands. in addition, it is also played by many top soloists and has won almost every top piping award.

The solo bagpipe has become an exceptionally refined instrument with pipers' expectations of their instrument being greater than ever. While chanter design has improved enormously the one area that still proves to be inconsistent at best is the High G, and more specifically the 'piobaireachd High G'. Matching reed to chanter is critical to achieving the required stability to tackle some of the classic pieces in the piobaireachd repertoire. The AyrFire Chanter was crafted in collaboration with renowned piper, judge and reed maker, Colin MacLellan to overcome this problem. As well as giving the rich balanced tone that soloists expect, the unique elongated High G hole helps create stability while also giving greater scope for tuning. The fact that the High G hole is elongated means that tuning tape is normally required to cover at least half of the hole without compromising the tonal quality of the note. All chanters are supplied with a MacLellan chanter reed and a soft wood reed protector which will help prevent the build up of mould on the reed during drying out and also give longer reed life.

Peter Henderson Plastic Pipe Chanter

Designed by Alastair Dunn, Double Gold Medalist and long time Pipe Sergeant of multi World Champions Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band. 

This chanter provides optimum sound when pitched in the range 478hz to 482hz. Round Finger holes, new reed seat design and oval sound holes allow this chanter to deliver a rich, resonant sound with projection and stability.

This chanter features smaller finger holes in comparison to our new Omega Pipe chanter. Larger holes provide more projection and a brighter sound however the size of the holes are not always comfortable for every piper. The Infinity and Omega chanters allow pipe corps to integrate and play at the same pitch.

The Infinity chanter has been extensively tested in a synthetic and leather pipe bag set-up with a range of reeds and produces a rich resonant tone that will provide superb harmonics with any set of drones. It provides optimum sound when pitched in the range 480hz to 484hz.

The Infinity Bb pipe chanter was designed by Alastair Dunn and R.G. Hardie & Co. Champion Connor Sinclair. Compared to a modern pitch pipe chanter, this chanter profile has a larger shaft diameter, inspired by a 1970’s R.G. Hardie Pipe Chanter, and with small finger holes that are spaced for comfortable playing.

The chanter has been optimised to use a standard modern pipe chanter reed to pitch in the key of B flat, rather than a long bladed Bb reed.

Design

The new Willie McCallum Custom bag is designed to be a better ergonomic fit for pipers.
It is very slightly bigger in girth than a small but is shaped quite differently in front of the drones to allow greater freedom on the forearm, which can often bear the weight of the pipe with other shapes. The zipper is located at the bottom.

A jar style water trap is also included.

FlexiStick Blowpipe by RG Hardie 

The Flexistick is a precision made blowpipe designed to achieve the optimum position of the blowpipe and maximum airflow into the pipe bag
It is made of a series of components to adjust the length and angular position of the blowpipe. It extends from 8 to 12 inches using a locknut and tube assembly and together with a swivel joint the piper can adjust the blowpipe to position comfortably while performing.

It has a number of component parts with which you should become familiar:

Integral valve assembly:- unscrew to replace valve. We recommend smearing Vaseline on the valve for a better seal. Insert blowpipe into the stock in a clockwise direction to avoid loosening the valve assembly.

Swivel Joint:- Loosen swivel cover and adjust to favoured position, then tighten firmly.

Telescopic tube: - loosen locknut and extend to preferred position then tighten firmly. Two different lengths of tube are provided to achieve the desired length. Unscrew locknut to remove the tube. The mouthpiece and locknut should both be removed to change the tube.

Oval Mouthpiece:- A second option to the more traditional round mouthpiece. Both mouthpieces are threaded onto the telescopic tube

MaxiStick Blowpipe by RG Hardie 

The MaxiStick is a precision made blowpipe available in a range of sizes from 8 inches to 12 inches. It has a large bore to allow maximum airflow into the pipe bag and is available with either an imitation ivory or black projecting mount.

The mouthpiece is threaded with a 30TPI thread onto the body which accomodates all mouthpieces included in the range of bagpipes from R.G. Hardie and is commonly used by other bagpipe makers.

The MaxiStick has an integral valve assembly which will allow the valve to be replaced when necessary. To access the valve unscrew the hemp part below the projection mount. We recommend smearing Vaseline on the valve for a better seal.
