The Fork wall got thicker and stronger in 1966, since the out side was or the fork tube was still 1" threaded the inner dimension got smaller. The Cups fit a Classic Cruiser Head Tube that has a 32.5 mm or 1 9/32" opening "also AKA Cup Diameter". 32.5mm Head tube is Very Common, Fits Vintage Chicago Schwinns - Ballooner - Middle Weight - Lightweight- Bicycles. Does not work with Vintage Schwinn Bikes with 3 piece cranks and Lugged Frames. In rare cases some old bikes may of seen too much excessive use and the head tube is stretched, making the cups a loose fit, in that event a shim may be needed for a tight fit. The bearings are 15 x 3/16" ball retainers. The Bottom Crown Race is 26.4mm or 1 1/32"and fits Vintage Schwinn Blade & Vintage Schwinn Springer Forks and Other forks with a 26.4mm or 1 1/32" Fork Crown Race Lip.
