Original Geoffrey Rose Frozen Moments of Aspen Coca-Cola Can
 1987-1989
I bought this wonderful piece of Pop-Art in the 80's and I had no idea it would become one of the rarest
and most desirable pieces 35 years later.  I did do some research on this item and I learned that it is very rare
and very few were made.  They were all made by one man, one artist, and only for 2 years.
What a shame he didn't continue creating more with his talent.

I took the following description from another online seller AFTER he sold his identical piece of Pop-Art
several years ago.  I could never say it all as well as he did....

"Australian artist Jeffrey Rose was literally starving in mid-1970s London when he came up with the idea for using newly-developed acrylic resin to create pop art sculpture. What followed was a series of creations, 87 or more, that helped define mid-1980s pop culture. While most of the designs were manufactured in Australia, some were made and distributed in the U. S. from 1985 until 1987 by a company called Aspen Enterprises, which went out of business in 1987. Many designs featured food or other non-advertising designs, but sculptures featuring real cans and bottles were the most sought after. This rare Coke can item dates from the 1985 to 1987 Aspen time period because the small seal on the side of the can reads "USA [Olympics] Proud SponsorĀ®1988 Oly. Sponsor" and the can is from Southwest Canners, Inc., Portales, New Mexico. Coca Cola began canning Coke Classic in the wake of the New/Old Coke debacle of 1985. The can also has the old Coke Classic bar code. The glass looks frosted with several ice cubes. The can originally held 12 ozs. but with the thickness of the stream it is probable that the glass will soon overflow if the "Coke" was real. The advantage of resin."
