Two tiny mark on rear board.
Two faded private stamp on first blank page.
Private name stamp & dated inscription on verso of frontis dated Xmas 1919.
Inside generally clean & tight.
Coloured plates. 85 pp;
There is no year on the title-page.
The first copies to be printed (Dec.1918 had the letter "N" missing from the end of "London" in the imprint. (Dec.1918: 30,000 copies/ June 1919: 5,000 copies/ March 1920: 5,000 copies).
This copy has the “n” in the imprint.
The endpapers are correct for the first edition of this title, - they were for the first time used in December1918, with the figures of Johnny Town-Mouse in the centre of one endpaper, and the figure of Timmy Willie in the centre of the other endpaper.(L. Linder).
