Garth Williams four original initialed preliminary sketches on three pages, of a table and chair, Baby's First Book, page nine and ten, with a copy of the book. Sketch one, initialed and drawn in pencil, a close-up sketch of a chair, 8 1/2" x 11". Sketch two, initialed and drawn in pencil, chair and table, 8 1/2" x 11", sketch three on back of this page, table and chair, not initialed but drawn in pencil. Sketch four, high chair with bowl and spoon, initialed and drawn in pencil with short poem, 'My table (New) Nice table My little dish and spoon My chair high chair I hope my supper comes soon'. Book 6 1/2" x 8". Book is included only as an example of the final product. Part of an Archive of Garth Williams material. COA included.
Very Good All Some slight wear and pencil notations to drawings, minor paper loss at edges to sketches one and two (three) which can be trimmed, interior pages of book clean and intact.
