Mepilex Border Lite is a soft silicone foam dressing designed for use on non/low exuding wounds. It is a thin all-in-one foam dressing suitable for chronic and acute healing wounds. The dressings has a foam pad which consists of 2 layer construction: a foam layer and a non-woven spreading layer. Mepiliex creates a moist wound environment to allow optimal conditions for wound healing. The dressing outer layer is waterproof but breathable which will protect the wound and surrounding sking from bacteria and other external contaminants. It is suitable to wear in the shower. The Safetac technology inside the wound contact layer has shown to minimise pain to patients and trauma to the skin and wound area upon dressing removal.
