This is a beautiful 2006 hardcover edition of Charles Darwin's "On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection or the Preservation of the Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life." The shorter title is "On the Origin of Species;" it was first published in 1859 and sets out Mr. Darwin's ground-breaking explanation for evolution. This book is a 2006 Folio edition that follows the text of the first edition (but includes a scientific glossary first published with the fifth edition). The book is introduced by physiologist Richard Keynes (Cambridge University), who was the great-grandson of Charles Darwin. This book comes with a protective slipcase (refer to the photos).
