The World's First Personal Tornado Detector

The detection technology of the tornadoAlert is a scientific breakthrough based on over 40 years of research.  The unique detection technology monitors the atmosphere for electrical activity proven to be associated with tornado formation.

30 Minutes Warning
Being warned in ample time could mean the difference between life and death.  Tornado Alert's patented technology warns you of impending danger, identifying the nature of the threat and giving you a live proximity reading so you can see how close the severe storm, lightning or tornado is to your location, giving you the critical time to get your family to safety.

30 Mile Radius
Tornado Alert constantly listens to the atmospheric frequencies with a range of 30 miles from your exact location, listening for what NASA scientists call tweeks, whistlers, and sferics. All are significant unique identifiers of intense electrical activity in the atmosphere, including lightning, severe weather, and the precise conditions in which tornadoes are created.

95% Accurate
Based upon over 40 years of scientific research and with NASA validated methodology, Tornado Alert's detection capabilities offer industry leading accuracy, comparable only to NASA and NOAA's GOES-R satellite. With 95% accuracy, when Tornado Alert's warning siren and strobe light go off, it's time to get to safety.

Methodology
By measuring atmospheric energy density the Tornado Alert operates independently of radar-based vortex detection utilized by the National Weather Service (NWS).  Individuals have an added level of security and safety by having their own Tornado Alert sensor (or network of sensors) in addition to NWS severe weather advisories.  The Tornado Alert has a battery backup and will warn of severe weather despite power outages or problems with cellular and other networks.

Tornado Alert comes with an A/C power adapter.  The recommended backup battery is 9-volt lithium, 1250 mAh, and is not included.
