BESCHREIBUNG

Erste Ausgabe der Predigten des Dekans und Rektors der Universität Wien. Im Jahr 1489 wurde Lochmeier Nachfolger von Paul Wann als Domprediger in Passau. IGI schreibt das Werk Grüninger in Straßburg zu. Es gilt jedoch heute als gesichert, dass das Werk bei Petri in Passau entstand.

AUSSTATTUNG

Zweispaltige gotische Type in 42 Zeilen. Zahlreiche handgemalte Initialen in Rot. Zurückhaltend in Rot rubriziert.

Blatt: 27,5 x 19 cm; Text: 19,5 x 12,5 cm.

402 nicht num. Blatt. Blätter 19 und 402 weiß. Vollständiges Exemplar.

EINBAND

Originaler spätgotischer Einband aus der Landshuter Werkstatt „Raute vierfach“ (Kyriss 165; EBDB w000032). Blindgeprägtes Schweinsleder über massiven Holzdeckeln. Rechteckig und diagonal verlaufende Streicheisenfilete. In den Feldern die sogenannte „Vierfach-Raute“ (Kyriss Taf. 331, Nr. 7; EBDB s001766), Tropfenstempel, Hirschstempel sowie etliche Blütenstempel sowie das Spruchband „maria“. Zwei intakte Schließen. Fünf echte Bünde. Der blindgeprägte Rücken gekalkt.

Vorderer Buchblock mit hangemalten Titel. Rücken mit altem Titelschild aus Papier.

Guter und genuiner Zustand. Erste Lage teiweise gelockert, Buchblock und Bindung ansonsten fest und stabil. Deckel etwas berieben und gering wurmstichig. Rücken am Schwanz eingerissen. Vorderdeckel mit alter Bezugsreparatur. Schließenleder alt erneuert. Die untere Schließlasche abnehmbar bzw. nicht befestigt.

Folio: 28,5 x 19,5 x 9 cm.

ZUSTAND

Guter und genuiner Zustand. Überwiegend sauberer und breitrandiger Druck. Durchgehend leicht gebräunt. Stellenweise etwas gebräunt oder fleckig. In den Rändern gelegentlich kleinere Wurmgänge. Stellenweise wasserrandig. Die ersten zehn Blatt mit größeren Randläsuren und Papierausbrüchen im weißen Rand. Lage kkk in sich verbunden.

Sammlung Detlef Mauss - Dessen Prägestempel auf dem letzten weißen Blatt.

DESCRIPTION

First edition of the sermons of the Dean and Rector of the University of Vienna.

In 1489 Lochmeier succeeded Paul Wann as cathedral preacher in Passau.

IGI attributes the work to Grüninger in Strasbourg.

Today, however, it is considered certain that the work was written by Petri in Passau.

BINDING

Original late gothic binding from the Landshut workshop „Rhombus quadruple“ (Kyriss 165; EBDB w000032).

Blindstamped pigskin over massive wooden boards. geprägtes Schweinsleder über massiven Holzdeckeln.

Rectangular and diagonal lines. (Kyriss Taf. 331, Nr. 7; EBDB s001766), Drop stamps, deer stamps and several flower stamps as well as the banner „maria“. Two intact clasps. Five bounds. The blind embossed spine limed.

Front book block with hand-painted title. Spine with old paper title label.

Good and genuine condition. First layer partly loosened, book block and binding otherwise tight and stable. Cover a little rubbed and slightly worm-holed. Spine torn at the tail. Front cover with old cover repair. Clasp leather old renewed. The lower closing flap removable or not fixed.

Folio: 28,5 x 19,5 x 9 cm.

CONDITION

In good and genuine condition. Mostly clean impression with wide margins. Throughout slightly browned. Somewhat browned or stained in places. Occasionally smaller wormholes in the margins. Waterstained in places. The first ten sheets with larger marginal tears and paper chipping in the white margin. Layer kkk connected in itself.
