This listing is for an adorable antique cast iron mechanical dog nutcracker in a nice size, c. 1900. The dog has a black painted finish with excellent appearance. When a nut is placed in the dog's mouth and his tail is raised, the nut is cracked. These figures were made in a couple of different sizes with this being the largest. 

Measures 3 3/4" high, 11" long and 1 3/4" wide. Weighs 3.13 pounds. 

This nice nutcracker is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. Paint is good and the mechanism works perfectly as a nutcracker.
