A tight firm book in Like New condition in Deep blue/Crimson/bright shiny silver gilt-lettered hard boards, 9 1/4" x 6 1/4" x 647 pages of remarkable data first published during the Civil War.

Frank Moore (1828-1924) was a Civil War Journalist.  Moore compiled Documents, Narratives, Illustrative Incidents, Poetry, etc., into twelve volumes of splendid Civil War history, well illustrated and well mapped including foldout maps.  Here is his volume three of those twelve volumes.    Volumes 1-6 were published 1861-1863; volumes 7-12 were published 1864-1868 by Van Nostrand, New York.
