This is a Genuine Vintage NEVCO YUGOSLAVIA CHILD'S WOODEN FOLDING CHAIR in EXCELLENT CONDITION with all is slats and original varnished oak finish.
After World War II, Yugoslavia and other European countries were struggling to rebuild. In the early 1950's NEVCO YUGOSLAVIA was born as a maker of wooden household items like stools, cutting boards, folding chairs, and other wooden furniture. As part of the Marshall Plan, NEVCO's products were imported into the US and were instantly recognized for their hand-crafted high quality at a low cost. This is one of the first imports marked only YUGOSLAVIA before the company adopted the NEVCO name.
It was mine as a child in the early 50's and has been hidden away in one of my parent's closets for over 60 years. Now it needs a new lease on life and a new "little tush" to hold !
