How I prepare dvds

1.Dust dvd.

2.I use a tiny amount of olive oil (yes olive oil – it works) to get rid of sticky marks and fingerprints, buffing and polishing until all the oil is gone.It gives a nice shine and somehow minimizes light scratches. I use unscented tissues as I have found microfibre cloths can collect lint etc which can damage a dvd. 

3.I then use rubbing alcohol (Isopropyl alcohol) to get rid of any leftover olive oil.

4.I clean the case inside and out with rubbing alcohol (Isopropyl alcohol)

5.I test the dvd by loading it into an LG player (Model number GP50NB40) attached to my laptop. It plays all regions. I make sure it loads and plays without issues.
