Benefits: Not fermented tea is good for losing weight, preventing obesity and for soothing stomach, however this based on subjective observations but not on experiments. In addition, it has effective anti-oxidation on cells.
It works for me for soothing my stomach when I am stressed, anxious.

It is perfect for beginners. This type pu erh tea is not fermented, which means year by year getting more mature, therefore more expensive (just like wines or cognacs). People in Taiwan stored a lot and use them as stocks, selling them higher price after years.
The latest the harvest the greener the tea leaves but more bitter, and the older the tea the smoother its taste, less bitter.

It is recommended to buy along with XiaGuan TuoCha. An other excellent and delicious Pu erh tea from Yunan.
XiaGuan pu erh (year: 2000) is Fermented (Shou)/ripe/matured, which means after fermentation keep its taste and colour for longer with little changes,  thus one can compare the taste. It is available in 50/100gr.

The ORIGIN & QUALITY:
Due to the high possibility to get cheap,  fake or different pu erh  tea from China for your money, I prefer to buy them in Taiwan from a pu erh tea expert and trader. The tea is shipping from TAIWAN, and it is bought from a trustable and tried tea retail seller in Taiwan.
(The oldest teas are being bought and kept by Taiwanese in the last 3 decades, therefore outside of TW it is very rare to find older pu erh tea than 15-20 yrs. old).

PRICE:
For this price - fair price for quality and trustable puerh tea - you get what you ordered and if you aren't satisfied, you can send it back, as long as you haven't destroyed the tea cake & package.

If you find this tea cheaper, that is probably something else, might be from the latest, new harvest but not aged puerh tea.
