This prescion tamper from Motta is adjustable in height to sit on the top of the portafilter handle to given an even tamp. The result? A better puck, less channelling and a better tasting coffe.
The results are firmly in your hands though.
But with its flat top surface applying even pressure shouldn't be an issue.
