Golden Berries Dried Fruit - Inca Berries 30gr(1.05oz) 4.9kg(10.8lb)No Sugar Added

Origin: Thailand.

Scientific name: Physalis Peruviana.

You may have already heard of this ancient fruit under one of its other names. Inca golden berries are also known as Cape gooseberries, giant ground cherries, Peruvian cherries, and by their scientific name: physalis peruviana.

The plant does not tolerate low temperatures and frost and needs plenty of light and sun to thrive.

The fruit can be used like a tomato. Once extracted from the skin, it can be eaten raw and used in salads. Some varieties are added to desserts, canned fruits or dried and used as raisins.

The characteristic of the genus is its small orange fruits that all resemble in size, shape and resemble small tomatoes, with the difference that they are (partially or completely) enclosed in a large bark with a paper texture, which comes from the calyx. The small, round Physalis is actually a storehouse of many nutrients, minerals and vitamins that are beneficial to our health.
