2007 American silver eagles are popular among bullion investors and coin collectors alike, and given the coins’ full ounce of .999-fine silver, large diameter (40.6 millimeters), and widespread recognition both in the United States and abroad, it isn’t hard to understand why.

Since its debut in 1986, the American silver eagle has risen to become one of the most popular silver bullion coins in the world today. Part of this is due to the fact that it is also one of the most beautiful bullion coins available. Featuring Adolph A. Weinman’s famous Walking Liberty design, which was used on the half dollar from 1916 through 1947, the American silver eagle is a coin of exquisite visual appeal. The reverse has a heraldic eagle, designed in 1985 by John Mercanti.

Millions of American silver eagles were minted in 2007 to satisfy demand. This figure includes 9,028,036 uncirculated examples.
