17-5/8" wide x 24" tall unframed

Oil on board, Dean Martin, 1987, signed and dated lower right and reverse.

Keil paints human figures, portraits, big city scenes, landscapes and still life images of flowers.
The use of intensive to lurid colors and the absence of realistic representation are characteristic of his painting style.  The colour is applied with quick brushstrokes occasionally with impasto techniques and the images are additionally abstracted by the use of graffiti elements.  At the beginning of the 1960s, he lived in Paris for a while and emerged in the city's nightlife. Keil increasingly parted with his realistic approach and developed a new, much more spontaneous and dynamic painting style that matured during his years in London and finally during his time as one of the "Berliner Neue Wilden" at the beginning of the 1980s.

The condition of the painting is excellent, for its age.  Please note that it is not framed.  Please examine all of the photographs as they form part of the condition description.
