Louis Clichy and Alexandre Astier direct this children's animation based on the comic book series by René Goscinny. Jack Whitehall and Nick Frost voice Asterix and Obelix, the two feisty Gauls in rural Brittany, the last vestige of autonomy from the Romans. Caesar (Jim Broadbent), dissatisfied, sets out a plan to construct a luxurious estate called 'The Mansions of the Gods' to win round the Gauls in the village.
