180g 2LP vinyl in gatefold + CD album!

Great news for all progressive metal fans: Dream Theater are back from the studio in 2019 with a new album. "Distance Over Time" is the name of the 14. Record by the New York band, the follow-up to 2016's The Astonishing.

James LaBrie, John Petrucci, John Myung, Jordan Rudess and Mike Mangini recorded a total of nine new songs, which together have a length of around 57 minutes.

Dream Theater recorded »Distance Over Time« over four months at the remote Yonderbarn Studios in Monticello, New York. For the first time in the band's history, they worked together on an album from start to finish in the same place.

As usual, Petrucci took care of the production. Ben Grosse did the mixing and Tom Baker did the mastering.

With "Untethered Angel" there was already a foretaste of the new album.
