This is one of a number of antiquities that came in recently from a deceased country house estate. I have no idea what country they are from or what period they date to. I am sure you the antiquity collectors will know what you are looking at more than myself.

This is an antique pendant bead ( the hole does not go all the way through at the bottom ) hand carved ? from jade or other soapstone. It is double sided and has the same pattern on both sides, but one side is green and the other is orange.
The pattern shows a pair of Chinese style dogs or lions.

At the very top where the two heads come together at the mouth part there is a HOLE here to be hung as a pendant.

No maker's marks etc.

It measures approx. 40mm x 35mm x 10.3mm. It weighs approx. 19.8 grams.

A speculative lot which I rather like but I know nothing about it... if someone knows anything I am all ears... cheers in advance.

Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter, or a universal Coke can, and we all know how big those are.
