Omega Constellation Automatic Chronograph

This Omega Constellation was recently serviced in February of 2021 and has sat in a drawer since. Works without issue and keeps accurate time to within 5+/- seconds a day. The overall condition is fair to good, it does have some patina to the dial and particularly to the hands when looked at under magnification.

This is an unusual variant of the 168.004 with the single 'T' (SWISS MADE T). Both the hands and the dial are lumed with tritium which would usually be indicated by the markings (T SWISS MADE T). The inscription 'T' was required to be displayed on the watch whenever tritium lume was used. However there was a small run of the 168.004 with this error on the dial.

This Constellation is all original with the exception of the crown. Unfortunately, when a watch is serviced by the manufacturer it is common practice to change original parts with their modern day equivalent. This watch would have originally been fitted with a completely flush to the case 'hidden crown'. These crowns were only used for a short period of time and as a result are extremely difficult to get hold of nowadays. The crown fitted to this watch is a later Omega service crown for the Constellation.

This watch is paired with a stainless steel NSA, clasped bracelet. The inside of the clasp is marked:

STEEL-INOX

SWISS 'NSA' MADE

MODELE DEPOSE

Total length of the bracelet including the closed clasp is approximately 149mm. The bracelet has a stretch function which extends the total length by up to another 17mm.
