In 1977/1978 with the titanic success of Star Wars, Coca-Cola Japan produced a promotional campaign/sweepstakes that featured collectable bottle caps and an R2 D2 radio as the grand prize. While the radio and other prizes have long since been claimed, these collectable bottle caps are still an amazing part of Star Wars Merchandise history. The caps were released with multiple Coke products; Coca-Cola Fanta Apple, Fanta Grape, Fanta Orange, Sprite and featured a total of 50 images of classic Star Wars characters and moments. Great obscure addition to any Star Wars collection. This Fanta cap features Grand Moff Tarkin. Shows some wear from opening as well as some oxidization.
