Body size: 25 to 32

Blue-purple glossy, full red brown.

It is a kind of flower chafers (also called fruit chafer--family Cetonidae, order Coleoptera): Many of these robust, squarish, slightly flat beetles are brightly colored and often shiny. The head may have projections of varying lengths, which are usually more developed in males. Eggs are laid in decaying plant matter, dry carcasses, and the ground. The larvae eat rotting plant material, dung and wood; the adults mostly eat plant sap, pollen and fruit. Can be found worldwide, especially in tropical and subtropical regions in any well-vegetated habitat. But this Chafer can be found in very restricted areas.
