New 1" Threaded Replacement Fork for Vintage Cruisers and Vintage Mountain Bikes with 26" wide 1.5" / 1.75" / 1.95" / 2.125" / 2.35" Wheels. The Fork comes in Chrome With or With Out Cantilever brake studs. Your Choice from the Menu. The Fork has a 1" standard threaded fork tube, has the hole for a fender bolt or a caliper brake pivot bolt, has holes for an axle safety washer, a holes for a fender brace, takes a 27mm Crown Race, has a 22.2mm or 7/8" inner diameter and would use stems and top nuts of that diameter. The tapered fork tube measures approximately 14 1/8" or 360mm from axle center to bottom of the crown and approximately 14 1/2" axle center to brake pivot bolt hole center. Although the fork has a hole for a caliper brake its more for a fender option as caliper brakes are hard or install on larger tire sizes. For any hand brake use one should use the Cantilever Brake studs for superior braking. The threaded fork tube length seems to vary through different manufacturing runs. The Fork tube is around 250mm with 100mm non thread and 150mm of thread. Your selection will give over all fork tube Length "L" and Thread length "T". The Fork is a replacement forks with lots of thread, You Cut down the fork to your Application. Always Measure Twice and Cut Once There are No Returns after Modified. We have used these for years and pleased with the look and performance when rebuilding Vintage Schwinn Klunker bikes, Old School Mountain Bikes and Custom Cruisers. The Fork works with Vintage Schwinn Bikes when used with the headset in this auction. This Style of Fork was used in the very early days of Mountain Biking and Sufficient for Light Cruising, Using Fork for any Extreme Riding is NOT Recommended. So Don't Be an Idiot.
