PRP Preparation Procedure

1) Withdraw Blood and Prepare PRP

A. Fill PRP tubes with patient's blood.

B. Soon after the sampling, turn the tube 180o upside down, shaking and mixing 6-8 times.

2) Centrifugation

A. The blood is then placed in a centrifuge for 5 minutes at 1500g. Place tubes opposite each other to balance.

B. Blood will fractionate. PRP(Platelet-Rich Plasma) will be on top and red blood cells and white blood cells at bottom, the platelet poor plasma is discarded. Concentrated platelets are collected into a Sterile Syringe.

3) Aspirate PRP

A. Right after Centrifugation, to aspirate the PRP. Be sure not to draw up the Red Blood Cells.

B. Collecting all platelet rich plasma and ready to inject to patients.
