To check your existing cable's connector size: If you only have access to a ruler, use the cm side. If your cable's male end looks to be very close to 1/2 cm in diameter or just a tiny bit bigger, this is likely the right cable for you.
No ruler? Stack 3 US quarters (25-cent coins) and compare their height to the male end of your existing cable. Your connector's diameter should look to be almost the same as the stack's height or just a tiny bit smaller.
