This unique easy to use jump ring making tool will take coils up to 50mm in length when compressed and securely hold while you cut them through with a jewellers saw.
The tool will make 3 sizes of jump ring 5mm OD, 7.5mm OD and 10mm OD.
Using The Tool
- Place the unit in to your bench vice. We do an optional kit that includes a screw down bench mount if you have no bench vice available.
- Make your 50mm long coil to one of the sizes available, 10, 7.5 or 5 mm OD.
- Use the supplied hex key to release the front securing plate and remove.
- Coat the coil with some jewellers cutting lubricant and insert into one of the 3 holes you have made the coil size to fit.
- Replace the front plate and secure, this will keep the coil slightly compressed for cutting.
- Using a jewellers saw and lubricated blade gently cut down the slot vertically and carefully cut until all the rings are cut through.
- Remove the front plate and tip out the clean cut rings ready to use.
