Description: |
A circular hobnail cut glass dressing table pot with a silver lid made by Charles May of Birmingham. The lid has intricate floral decoration with a vacant cartouche in the centre which could be engraved with initials if desired. The underside of the lid is gilded. The base of the glass pot has a star cut. Silver lid weighs 17.1 grams.

Hallmarked on the edge of the lid with "CM" (maker CC May & Sons Charles May), an anchor for Birmingham, the lion passant for silver and "k" for 1909. |

Condition: |
Silver lid is in good condition with no holes or splits, has 1 small dent on the vacant cartouche on the lid (difficult to show in a photograph). Cut glass base is in excellent, clean, undamaged condition, has some age related wear on the base. |
